Manchmal hört man einen Song und verliebt sich sofort in eine bestimmte Zeile. Weil sie sehr ehrlich ist, wirklich originell, genau zur eigenen Situation passt oder sich einfach nur fantastisch anhört. Ich habe mal angefangen, meine persönlichen Lieblingszeilen zu sammeln. Diese hier sind dabei rausgekommen:

Hat mich damals beim ersten Hören regelrecht umgehauen und verursacht mir auch heute noch Gänsehaut.

Das geht doch wirklich nah. Sie macht Schluss und er sieht zärtlich verklärt immer noch nur das Gute in ihr.
Robbie Williams – Win Some Lose Some
She said to me When we grow older will we still need young love on our shoulders?
An dieser Zeile gefällt mir besonders die eingängige Melodie, aber auch der Text regt zum Nachdenken an.

Oasis – Little By Little

Wer kommt auf so herrliche Textkonstrukte? Stimmt und stimmt nachdenklich.
Bruce Springsteen – Atlantic City
Everything dies baby, that’s a fact but maybe everything that dies someday comes back
Auf diese Zeile bin ich aufmerksam geworden durch ein Boss-Spezial im britischen Magazin Uncut. Ed Harcourt erwähnte diese Zeile und meinte, er wäre stolz, sowas geschrieben zu haben.
Snow Patrol – Headlights On Dark Roads
For once I wanna be the car crash, not always just the traffic jam
Erste Zeile des Songs. Haut rein und die eher monotone Vortragensweise verstärkt noch den Effekt.

Klingt einfach geil. Und so schnell und melodiös vorgetragen. Einmalig. Und dann das Bass-Solo – vom Meister selbst vorgetragen.

Ein Beispiel aus der Spaß-Sinnlos-Fraktion. Herrlich verrückter und recht flotter Song. Geht übrigens zurück auf die Behauptung von John Lennon im Mersey Beat, wie es zum Namen der Band kam:

Jarvis Cocker bringt mehrfach solche Wahnsinnssachen. Und dann so hingehaucht. Grandios.
So, ursprünglich war diese Liste noch wesentlich länger, da es wirklich wahnsinnig viele gute Liedzeilen gibt. Aber ich habe es jetzt auf meine persönlichen absoluten Lieblingsbeispiele zusammengestrichen.
